Mum Mondays

Not totally wordless, obviously, but Mondays will always be hard to me to pull posts together after Sundays with DH (he's glaring at me right now for writing this -- he said nobody ready this anyway so why do I bother?).
Cruce would totally read this -- if he could read!
After a productive Tuesday last week, I was a total bum on Wednesday. Thursday and Friday I just trail rode Ruby (which is productive, just obviously not in the same way as actual schooling). Friday night I also hopped on another boarder's OTTB and hacked her out too, so twice the trail ride fun!

Another fun #rootd!
Saturday was a horseless day -- we drove about 100 miles back to my hometown for my high school reunion, then spent some much-needed time with my family who still lives there. We got home late, so Sunday got off to a slow start. I did manage to squeeze in a session with the Cinna-monster -- she learned how to long line. She picked it up quickly, and then had a nice bath. The rest of the day was devoted to mowing (it won't stop raining so our grass is RIDICULOUS this summer). After a delicious home-cooked dinner, DH and I watched Divergent and then crashed early.
Good baby horse!
Also spent some time this weekend brainstorming what to do with 3 Kastel dresses...... haha.

  1. I'm still quite puzzled over the dresses. Are the stripes sewn on? Because if they are you could easily have them moved up. If not it might be a little trickier.

    1. I'll have to examine them more closely -- after I figured out they were dresses not freakishly long shirts, I just hung them up and moved on to something else, lol. But yes, they're very puzzling. Hopefully I can find a seamstress to shorten them so they don't go to waste!

  2. Tell your DH that I read your blog-so There! Sometimes it's good to be lazy. And please send us some rain.

    1. Haha I will pass along the message! 😉
I would be more than happy to send you our rain. They were initially calling for a drought this year but that has not been the case. My mom hasn't even been able to get her first cut of hay done 😞 just need like a week straight of dry weather!

  3. I cut the bottom of the dresses off and hemmed them up to make them into additional shirts.

    1. That was the tentative plan -- did you have any trouble with the fabric? I'm not good at alterations so was thinking I might enlist the assistance of a professional....haha.
