Coming Soon....

Today our lean-to (lean-too? I've always been unclear on how exactly to spell this....) will be gaining a new addition.....
Stock photo...haha.
DH has been angling for a hot tub for a while -- he has a history of back problems, including a microdiscectomy a few weeks before our wedding. Being 6'4", no normal bathtub is really big enough for him to soak in, so we've been kicking around this idea for a long time. We finally decided to pull the trigger after spending yesterday shopping at a distributor. DH will be picking it up today and installing it (and hopefully NOT electrocuting himself in the process).

Looking forward to investing in some giant fluffy robes so we can use this bad boy all winter! :)

    1. We bought from a wholesale distributor who sells all over the Midwest -- they were surprisingly affordable! This is literally the cheapest one they offer (since it's just the 2 of us and we don't really entertain or have friends over 😂). Buying the wire and getting the base set up added a little $$ to the cost, but still wayyyy more affordable than I expected. You should get one. You treat Henny, now treat yo'self 😉 haha

    1. I'm not quite at the excitement level DH is, but I'm still pretty excited! Hoping this might help soothe those post-riding aches and pains, lol.

  4. Well my update tomorrow will be different than I anticipated, as DH is coming home with a different hot tub (read, larger) than we decided on.... 😂 Oh boy.

    1. It wasn't as expensive as I thought! I think it'll be great after long days at the barn 😀

  6. I've always dreamed of a hot tub. I have this vision of finishing a ride, stripping and hopping into the tub while sipping on something cold and refreshing. DH is my reality check and says that it would add to our list of things to do. Plus we're on a well and that is something to consider.

    1. That's my vision too! Although we're having some wiring issues at the moment, so no idea when I'll get to live that vision haha.

Yeah being on a well would probably make it difficult. Lucky for us, we have cheap county water! I'm interested to see how it's going to change our electric bill.
