WW: When Tech Cooperates.....

Still too busy for lengthy entries, but I did have a great lesson Sunday!
And the Equisense continues to be awesome.
Low-quality screenshot of a high-quality horse <3 love her.
I had 70+ minutes of video and only a few minutes to attempt to grab screenshots, so sorry they're both tracking the same way lol.
Cinna continues to think our rides are a chance to practice her Spanish Riding School audition moves.
But she's so danged cute!
This one is less cute.....
I think I spent more time brushing mud off her than I spent riding... haha.
I'm actually surprised how most of my rides are (relatively) even -- I think when I was using the Equilab it dinged me a lot for being more 70-30 split. So either I'm doing a better job mentally of riding both ways, or the Equilab just wasn't that great at tracking. Who knows!
We briefly enjoyed a bit of a "heat wave" (multiple days in the 50s, whooo!), so I feel like I've been relatively productive with the horses.  And the Pixio has worked TWO TIMES IN A ROW GUYS!!!! It makes me so happy when all my toys play nicely and I end up with all this data and media (that TBH I have no time to deal with but like... I have it? haha).

  1. I feel you on the mud brushing. My horses have been absolutely SHELLACKED lately. It's absurd.

And YAY data. I love looking at the outputs.

Also, not having time to deal with video media is the exact reason that I"ll never own a pixio despite coveting them lol. I'm impressed with all of you who have any time to go through the video. It's so freaking cool to have that visual feedback.

    1. I did toss a miracle brush in my last supplement order and it's doing a decent job of scraping off the crusties so I can try to get the dust off (with mixed success lol).

It's nice to have the lesson video for sure, because I can hear my instructor's comments and watch the changes. I'm sure I'll have plenty of icky winter days to watch them, although whether I do anything with them for the blog (screenshots/GIFs) remains to be seen 😂

  2. I find the Equisense screen shots so interesting (I use Equilab because i'm a starving equestrian), thanks for sharing!

    1. Ideally I'd love to run both at the same time over multiple rides and see how they truly stack up, but that's going to require both more time to ride and more time to write haha.

  3. Even if you don't have time to blog it all, I think having data and video is extremely useful! I love rewatching videos from lessons. And Cinna's nine jumps make me laugh for real hahaha!

  4. I enjoy a good photo dump any day! The girls are looking fantastic (minus all that mud)! I still have yet to take the solo shot out of the box. They say they aren't meant for indoors though I bet it would work fine. I'm more worried about how busy the ring is at the boarding barn. Don't want anyone running down my camera!
Anyway, yay for all the media and data!

    1. Nobody I know has successfully used a soloshot inside but I'm definitely interested to see if you could get it to work. Despite the fact that my Pixio has worked a whole two times in a row, I still don't love it -- the soloshot's two pieces sound infinitely easier to use than the Pixio's six hahaha.

  5. haha I got so many photos from Megan in August - I still have to process. Winter project maybe? I wish your Pixio worked more often even if I might not see the results forever haha

    1. Even if it only plays nice on lesson days, that'd be worthwhile. The only time my rides are worth watching is when someone is yelling at me to stop riding like a monkey 🤣🤣🙈

  6. Cinna is so extra, hahah.

Glad you have been able to get out and ride more :)

    1. I am really jonesin' to get access to a big ring -- mine is juuuuust barely big enough to grab a symmetry score if I work hard on riding straight fully into the corners but if I slack at all I don't get a score, haha. But it's fun to be building up a library of numbers!
