The Only Kids in my Life

I'm sure you can guess that I spend 90% of the weekend watching and or snuggling goats (that is when I wasn't dripping sweat from our triple digit heat index, BLECH. IT'S FALL. WHERE IS SWEATER WEATHER?). So I don't have much in the way of things to write about the horses or media of them, but what I do have is a PLETHORA OF CUTE GOAT PICTURES (#sorrynotsorry).
Roja (momma goat) with her little spotty boy (left) and girl (right) -- Sam (our future herd sire) in the back.
Blanca and her little girl kid.
Blanca's girl -- her face stripe is THE CUTEST THING EVER.
A good shot of the little boy kid's spotty leg!
She's a keeper for our breeding stock.
He is for sale (although hopefully spoken for already!).
Spotty boy in the front, with his sister (who we're retaining as breeding stock) in the back).
Samurai, our future herd sire :)
Goats on goats on goats guys. That's all that's going on in my life.... haha.

    1. I'm kind of sad it's a boy and has to be sold -- he's really fun looking and exceptionally snuggly!

    1. I was ambivalent about them before we got them. And I can kind of take or leave the moms. But the babies.... SQUEE!

  6. What's a sire...?
I love the spots on the little one, and horns on Samurai!

    1. Sire means he is going to be the father of future goat babies 😉 he's not nearly full grown yet -- his horns will be even more impressive once he reaches maturity!

The spotty baby seems to be a clear favorite among readers here and my FB friends 😂 he sure is cute!

  7. I'm impressed you managed to do 10% of not staring at baby goats this weekend. So cute!

    1. I do evening chores at Ruby's barn on Saturdays so I had to drag myself away briefly 😂

  8. You almost have me convinced I need a goat. But also I feel like that would be a hilarious disaster XD

    1. This has been slightly less of a disaster than I feared when my husband first said "I built a goat pen", but there have definitely been moments... Haha. But they're fairly entertaining and haven't been that expensive to date (knock on wood), so we'll see how it works long term! I think the "selling" part is going to be the kicker....

    1. I sat on my horse for the first time since they've been born tonight, if that tells you anything. I am not getting anything done.... haha.

    1. They don't love being cuddled but they tolerate it 😂
