Breaking Out the Camera

Even though my farm and horses are soggy, disgusting messes, I did manage to get a few things done this weekend! One of those (fun) things, was making a trip up to a local show where my friends and former barnmates were showing! I haven't taken many photos since Hawaii (I mean why, it's been disgusting out), so I dusted off the equipment and snapped some photos at the show :) I only went for the second half of the day, so I missed most of the halter and English classes in the morning -- the afternoon was for western (and my favorite kiddo rode English)! I'm not gonna lie, I really wish I rode western enough to justify one of these freaking awesome woven western pads from Backroad Trading Company.

This was a Friesian x QH x Percheron cross and it was ADORBS.

Is there anything more adorable than kids winning ribbons? Probably not.
It was nice to get out of the house a bit and hang out with friends and horses! We also got the arena dragged last night, so hopefully it will be dry enough one night this week to ride!

  1. I'm impressed with the cleanliness of the horses - especially the greys. Mine are...well, let's not discuss it lol!

    1. Isn't she presh? She's the daughter of a good friend and like the only kid I find even remotely tolerable. I love her to bits. This was her first show with a new horse and as you can see, it went well!

    1. I tend to get anxiety when I show, so being at a show where there's no pressure and I can just hangout with friends is awesome!
