On Thursdays We Wear Teal

Monday night, I had my normal appointment scheduled with my hairdresser for a cut, and he had a surprise waiting!

He's been cutting my hair for NINE years at this point (😳), and over the last few years we talked about teal highlights a few times. I always hesitated because I work in a relatively conservative office job, and while I'm not super customer-facing, I still worried about being viewed as unprofessional. Now that I WFH, I was far more willing to go for it, but my stylist had a better plan -- clip in teal extensions made from real hair. He was making another color for another client and had some leftover, so he made two for me!

Before he trimmed them to match the length of my hair.

Oh my goodness 🥰

So obsessed. And yes I did plan Monday's outfit and mask around matching when he was done 🤣 #extra

The finished look!

It was definitely just what I needed to get me out of that "it's the 181st month of 2020" rut I feel like I've been in for the last few weeks. I don't wear my hair down too often (it's so much work, ugh), but now when I do, I can brighten it up with a splash of color!

    1. I'd be happy to refer you to my hairdresser but I imagine it'd be a long drive ;) haha

But thank you! I did manage to put them in by myself both Tuesday and Wednesday so I'm giving myself a pass today lol

  2. LOVE it!!!! I did neon pink extensions awhile back and it was so fun! They weren't clip in though, I like that option!

  3. I never would have guessed they clipped in. Totally thought you'd had it dyed! Too cool. I love it.

    1. Thank you! I really do love them so much I may have him do permanent ones with dye, I can only use these if I actually go through the effort to DO my hair, if they were dyed you could probably still see them when I do my lazy ass messy bun on the daily lol. I wore them to the office today when I had to run in and print stuff and got a lot of nice comments and no weird stares, so maybe I'm just overthinking them being permanent being an issue (as I do, lol).
