Trail Adventures: Broemmelsiek Park

You already saw the most interesting part of this ride, lol, but what a lovely day otherwise! 75 and sunny in November is not a day to be wasted, so I'm thrilled three of my trail riding buddies could play hooky with me - and we missed the rest of our friends!

A buck I flushed in the back pasture that morning.

Since my friend and I both have three horse trailers and were going the same direction, she kindly offered to pick me up to be more fuel efficient 😁 so Ruby and I hung out at the bottom of the driveway.

Where I managed to transfer most of the dirt on her to myself lolol.

The other group beat us to the park and while we were brushing, their horses were mugging children for pets through a car window 🤣🤣

I love not being the driver haha

This was only two days after Halloween and we kept seeing glitter bats and skulls hanging in trees 🤣

The lake at Broemmelsiek is so lovely!

Skull lol

We had some nice canters through the fields

Played in the creek a bit

Tanking up - she loves to drink on the trail!

Worked up a sweat in her winter coat! This was what prompted me to clip her when I got home haha

Hung out and had lunch after

Realizing what I did to my leg on the way home lol.

It was a really nice day! All of our horses are now so accustomed to each other we could swap out places on the trail, and since it was a weekday we didn't see many other people. And since hunting season has kicked off, this is one of the few trails we still have access to, so I'm glad it had dried out enough for this ride!
