TBT: Bob Langrish Photoshoot

Because I love beautiful media, even if it isn't current... Let's enjoy a TBT!
Back in 2011, I had the chance to take my mares at the time Tres (Cinna's dam), and Topaz, up to the Chicago area for a photoshoot with Bob Langrish. Yes, THE Bob Langrish.
It was a whirlwind dream trip, as I drove up one afternoon, had the photoshoot the next morning, and drove home that afternoon. Not only were the memories priceless (as I met many of my first Andalusian friends in person), but I will treasure the photos forever.

Even the outtakes were hysterical.
As a bonus, Bob's wife Pam is an incredibly talented canine photographer, and I was able to have my dachshunds photographed as well. Especially after we lost Snickers, these photos mean so much to me.

All photos in this post are copyright Bob and Pam Langrish.

  1. Wow! Bob Langrish provided the photos that fueled my little girl pony dreams. So cool that you got to have him photograph your horses!

    1. As someone who dabbles in photography, it was basically meeting my idol. I was a tongue-tied idiot around him haha.

    1. They stuck out at this shoot -- tradition dictates that Spanish mares have shaved manes, which I refuse to do, lol.

  3. Who gets their horse pictures taken by Bob Langrish?? You're like a celebrity yourself now basically!

    1. It was a totally surreal experience. It's been 6 years and I still pinch myself thinking about it. Actually one of the dachshund pictures his wife took ended up in a calendar! These could still potentially end up in a calendar, they're on his website in his archives I think, haha.
