Radio Silence

It's probably going to be a quiet week over here. My mom had surgery last Tuesday so caring for her ate up several evenings of barn time.
We shopped waiting for scripts to be filled!
The dachshunds were... helping....
We've also entered the holiday season where DH and I try to juggle seeing multiple sets of family (the joys of both coming from divorced homes where the parents have almost all remarried). We're booked up basically every weekend between now and the middle of January!
Early Thanksgiving celebration this weekend.
It's also full dark when I get home, so nothing goes on with Cinna except feeding her and the occasional weekend workout. And I'm not making it out to see Ruby much, although every time I do she's foot perfect (god bless her).
Oh my 5 y/o has had almost 2 weeks off? Lets try bareback bridleless W/T/C <3
I did manage to ride with tack too.
We're also frantically trying to prep for our vacation next month -- our first ever that isn't planned around someone's wedding or family event.
It'll be hard to leave the rugrats!
And casting some gloom over the week is the fact that Rufus, our oldest dachshund, is NQR. DH is taking him up to the vet today so hopefully it's nothing too serious.
Rufus is always front and center when snuggling is on the agenda.
Hopefully things even out because I do have some fun things to write about, including a big tack review, an exciting book review, an ITBF custom bonnet arrival, and TWO Riding Warehouse orders! The stress shopping is real, ya'll. Hopefully with the long weekend I can knock out some riding and media!

    1. Like on one hand, you're doubly as blessed because MOAR family... But on the other hand, not enough time! Haha.

  4. I went far far away from family, so now I have an excuse for only seeing a limited number of them at holiday times.

    1. There are times that seems like a solid plan..... Haha. At least with DH working odd shifts, that's an excuse about 80% of the time. However, this year Christmas falls on his day off and I can't decide if that's good or bad....
